The Villa Rosa range was created by Stephen Jones and Miguel Besoaín. They named it in honour of the roses that grow alongside the vines at Miguel’s Lafken Winery in Maipo. This is Chile’s premiere wine-growing region, known as the Bordeaux of Latin America due to the similarity of the terroir. Miguel uses handpicked grapes grown at 700 metres above sea-level to produce the single vineyard Medalla de Villa Rosa wines. At this altitude the warm sun during the day is followed by cooler nights which slows ripening producing rich, fruit-driven wines. These premium wines have been recognised for their quality by the China Wine and Spirit Awards and the Asian Cabernet Sauvignon Masters. Customers in Hong Kong can buy Villa Rosa here.
