The U.K. is better known for its whiskies and beer but that is starting to change. It’s an exciting time for English wine, and particularly English sparkling wine, which has been beating Champagne in some competitions and winning plaudits from many quarters.

Harrow and Hope is a very small, family-run vineyard set on the flint-laden slopes near Marlow in the south of England. With hard work and good fortune, winemaker Henry Laithwaite and his wife Kaye are producing sparkling wine to rival the greatest in the world. Their signature Brut Reserve blend is a fine example of this. It is made from all three classic grape varieties, led by the pure fruit and texture of Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier and well supported by the finesse of Chardonnay. Customers in Hong Kong can buy Harrow & Hope here.
